Us ne kaha ke ishq ka nasha utar gaya
Main ne kaha ke husaan bhi hum se mukar gaya

Us ne kaha keh tuj ko dilani hain chooriyaan
Main ne kaha ke aab wo zamana guzar gaya

Us ne kaha ke kya hoti kaajal ki dhaar si
Main ne kaha ke ankh se darya guzar gaya

Us ne kaha kehyeh teri chooriyoon se dosti
Main ne kaha ke dil mera duniya se bhar gaya

Us ne kaha ke kya mila sab se bigar ke
Main ne kaha ke waqat acha guzar gaya

Us ne kaha ke khuwab main aane ka waqat doo
Main ne kaha ke neend ka mausam guzar gaya

Us ne kaha keh wo tere sooraj ka kya bana
Main ne kaha ke wo mere dil main utar gaya

Akhir ko tang aa ke, kahi us ne itni baat
Wo tum kahan gaye wo zamana kidher gaya.
