Mera saawan b Tum ho meri Pyaas b Tum ho,
Sehra ki baahon mein chupi Aas b Tum ho,

Tum yun to bohat door! bohat door ho Mujhse,
Ehsaas ye hota hai Mere paas b Tum ho,

Har Zakham ki Aaghosh mein ha dard Tumhara,
Har dard mein taskeen ka Ehsaas b Tum ho,

Kho jao to Veeran si ho jaati hein rahein,
Mil jao to phir Jeenay ka Ehsaas b Tum ho,

Likhta hoon to Tum hi utartay ho qalam se,
Parhta hun to Lehja b Tum, Aawaz b Tum ho...!
