Tanhai bich gayi thi sabhi raston ke beech
ek shaks kho gaya tha kahin qafilon ke beech

woh akhri wisal tha or sham thi udas...
phir chand chup gaya tha kahin badlon ke beech

aahat bhi ghar main hoti rahi or woh door tha
koi chupa hua tha meri dharkano ke beech

sochti hon duaon ka khwabon ka kiya karen
bichre hue mile hon agar mehfilon ke beech

ankhon main jal uthe kayee jugnu shab-e-firaq
or chehre chup gaye the inhi jugnuon ke beech

hum tou ana parast the zinda he mar gaye
kis ka kasoor tha na khula faislon ke beech

aao yahin pe khatam karen sab maamle
chota se ek guraiz hai ab chahaton ke beech
