dil dharakne ka sabab yad aya
wo teri yad thi ab yad aya

aj mushkil tha sambhalna ai dost
tu musibat main ajab yad aya

din guzra tha bari mushkil se
phir tera wada-e-shab yad aya

tera bhula hua paiman-e-wafa
mar rahenge agar ab yad aya

phir kai log nazar se guzre
phir koi shahar-e-tarab yad aya

hal-e-dil ham bhi sunate lekin
jab wo rukhsat hue tab yad aya

baith kar saya-e-gul main 'Nasir'
ham bahut roye wo jab yad aya
