Salman Khan, the bollywood superstar who is famous for his showing his fabulous muscles in movies by going shirtless, has been asked by director Kabir Khan to lose some weight to look leaner for his upcoming EK THA TIGER, as the character requires him to be street smart and not bulky.

Salman Khan plays the lead in upcoming ambitious spy drama and will have to perform several rescue acts in the flick, so it was necessary for him to lose that bulky frame and get into a leaner shape for the character.

And no, Sallubhai does not have much time on his hand. He has to do the needful within a month as the action scenes are going to be shot in Dublin, Ireland, beginning exactly after one month from now.

As the film requires several international technicians to shoot those action sequences in places like Dublin, Iraq and other countries of the world, the shooting dates are rigid and can not be changed on the whim of the actor.

International technicians have already given their dates and won’t be able to accommodate any changes in the schedule for Salman Khan or director Kabir Khan. Sources close to Salman Khan reveal that he understands the situation better and hence has already started on a strict gymming activities as well as his favorite cycling for the same.



Salman Khan is famous for his shirtless sequences in films and this has especially become a hot favorite after the super success of films like ‘Wanted’, ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Ready’ at the box office. Obviously, director Kabir Khan wants to capitalize on that craze of the audience but with a stamp of his own on the superstar’s look in the film.

Salman Khan will be seen in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ with his ex- girlfriend Katrina Kaif, who has now become the hot favorite of Yashraj Films banner. In fact, besides this film with Salman Khan, Kat is also doing two other films of Yashraj—one with Imran Khan(Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’)and another with Shah Rukh Khan to be directed by Yash Chopra himself.

But this is for the first time that Salman Khan has entered into Yashraj territory which has traditionally been known to be the bastion of his arch rival Shah Rukh Khan. And the buzz in the town is that Salman was needed more by Yashraj banner than the superstar needed the reputed banner for his box- office success.



It may be recalled that Salman Khan’s big hits like ‘Dabangg’, ‘Wanted’, and ‘Ready’ are all outside Yashraj banner and he is presently the hottest Khan on the block. On the other hand, Yashraj banner has not been able to keep up with its past reputation and a string of flops have come from it in recent times. It was thus forced to go beyond SRK and has now roped in two other big Khans—Salman and Aamir—in its camp.

The expectations are very high from ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ due to its combination of Salman Khan and Yashraj banner with Kabir Khan of ‘New York’ fame holding the directorial baton.
