Logon ne bohat poocha sabab weraani_e_dil ka,
Jub ho na saki baat to hum toot k roye,

Thi dhoop bohat taiz her simt judaai ki,
Barsi jo na barsaat to hum toot k roye,

Zad main tha khizaaon ki ab k dil_e_barbaad,
Bichhrre jo shajr-pat tou hum toot k roye,

Din bhar to rahe chup k duniya ki nazar thi,
Bheegi jo siyah raat tou hum toot k roye,

Samjha tha sada tujh ko apna he koi hissa,
Tukrron main bati zaat to hum toot k roye,

Hum kerte rahe aaj talak us chaand ki khwahish,
