The word "Crowds" gives the key-note to this Chapter. Here is a display of the Crowd who will dwell the Hellfire.
The gates of the Hell will be opened for those who were arrogant and rejected the call of God's Messengers.
Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?"
[Qur'an 67:8]
God's Signs were denied, and His Messengers were called fools, or madmen, or men under delusion! Righteous people were persecuted or mocked.
They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'God never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'"
[Qur'an 67:9]
The Reality will be clear to them, and they cannot deny their sins or make any excuse.
They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire!
