(alt date) 8th - Martyrdom of Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s.) - 260 A.H. 9th - Eid-e-Zahra (s.a.) 10th - Death of Hazrat Abdul-Mutalib (a.r.) - Grandfather of Prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h.), in the 8th year of his birth 10th - Marriage of the prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) with Bibi Khadijah (a.s.) 15th - Building Quba'a mosque (1st mosque in Islam) 17 - Birth /Zahoor of the Prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) 53 before Hijra |Ziarat 17th- Birth of Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq(a.s.) - 82 A.H. 25th- Death of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) I got come information from a site.. which sound like this:
After years of crying for Imam Husain and his companions , it was this time of the year when Imam Ali bin Husain Zainul Abideen had a smile on his face. He received the good news that the great companion and true Shia, Al-Mukhtar al-Thaqafy has taken revenge for the Ahlul-bayt and killed off many of the criminals who tortured the Ahlul-bayt in Kerbala. Today we salute this great companion for his service to the true Islam. This was the day, in the 9th of Rabi'a al-Awwal, when Omar ibn Sa'ad ibn abi Waqqaas [la], the killer of Imam Hussain was killed by Hazrat Mukhtar This was the wretched criminal who was the first one to shoot an arrow towards Imam Hussain on the 9th of Muharram 61 A.H. thus formally starting the war against Imam Hussain ! And he proclaimed, " O people of Kufa and Shaam, be witness hereto on the Day of Judgment, that I am the one who is the first to shoot an arrow at Hussain " ! And saying this, he shot the arrow! Later, Imam Hussain told them (the army of Yezid whose commander was this Omar ibn Sa'ad ibn abi Waqqaas [la]) after delivering an eye-opening Khutba, that he needs to have a night for prayers ! Al-Mukhtar announced the aims of his revolution in Masjid-e-Kufa, "I'll conform to Allah's Book and to His Apostle's Sunnah. I'll take the revenge on Imam Husain's killers. I'll fight against those who have broken Allah's laws. I'll defend the weak against the strong" It is only the lucky ones who have the opportunity to celebrate this Eid! This was the day, when for the first time after the massacre of his father Imam Hussain & his companions, that the 4th Imam smiled! Is this not enough an excuse to celebrate ? For, our joys are with the joys of Ma'soomeen and our grief and sorrows are for them alone ! ( www.islamicentre.org )
