hamaare daramiyan aisa koi rishtaa nahi tha
tere shaano pe koi chat nahi thi
mere zimme koi angan nahi tha
koi vada teri zanjeer-e-paa ban'ne nahin paya
kisi iqarar ne meri kalaai ko nahi thaama
havaa-e-dasht ki maanind
tu aazaad tha
raaste teri marzi ke tabe the
mujhe bhi apani tanhai pe
dekhaa jaaye to
puraa tasarruf tha
"magar jab aaj tu ne
rastaa badala
to kuchh aisa lagaa mujh ko
ke jaise tu ne mujh se bevafai ki"
